The Worlds of Michael D'Ambrosio

Hello, everyone. I just returned from a beautiful trip to Phoenix, Az and I’m hitting it hard already. For those of you who will see me in early March at Barnhill’s or at StellarCon, there is a real good chance I’ll have advance copies of Galaxy of the Damned, the final book in the Space Frontiers Series. My publisher, Dianne Helm, and my other publisher/illustrator Patti Hultstrand are working very hard to make this happen. So, for those of you who haven’t indulged in the adventures of Will and Shanna, now the complete set will be available.
I’d like to thank Patti for her hard work in setting up my events in Phoenix. I had a great time and book sales were good. I’d like to give a special thanks to Adam and Donovan from The Book Rack for having me in for a signing. I hope to join them again during my next visit. The three of use share aspirations of movies from our material which was really cool. Best of luck to you, gents. Thanks to Mama Java’s Coffee House for having Patti, Don Jacques, and myself in for the radio interview. And thanks to my new friends at the writers’ group in Phoenix. I enjoyed speaking to and with all of you. Best of luck to my new friends.
Now, I’m hard into my Fractured Time TV series. A certain NY producer is working with me to set up the series bibles and pilots for three seasons. There is more to marketing a TV series than I knew – whew! After many a discussion with Patti of AZ Publishing, I will make Princess Pain my next novel or at least a series of short stories that I might compile at the end into a novel. Princess Pain makes Lara Croft look like a choir girl and for those of you who read the Space Frontiers series, Princess Pain is Marina, Will and Shanna’s daughter. I’m sure you’ll understand where she’s coming from. Well, I must return to my work and take the high road this year. I’m betting 2012 is a new beginning for us and not an old ending – fire and brimstone. I think we had that in 2011. Join me again soon for more news and appearances.

The holidays have come and gone already and hopefully left everyone with fond memories. I’m looking forward to a great 2012! Soon, Galaxy of the Damned will be released (in March) and that will wrap up the Space Frntiers Series. I’ve been working with a producer from NYC to set up my Fractured Time TV series for a proposal. I am preparing three seasons of Fractured Time, one from each book. There is also the possiblilty of these series leading into a Space Frontiers series if things go well. I’m sure everyone will want to know how Billy Brock’s son follows in his adventurous footsteps.
My fantastic publisher, Patti H. from AZ PUblishing has done an awesome job on the new cover for Galaxy and has arranged for me to do several appearances this week, January 5-12, in Arizona. I’ll be at Mama Java’s on Friday from 3:30 to 5:30 and will be part of their weekly radio show. On Saturday, I’ll be at the Book Rack in Mesa from 9:30 am to 12:00. Next stop is in Tempe for a date with a Publishing/Marketing Writers Group from 1 to 3 pm. Then I hope to catch a Coyotes’ game in the evening.
