Hello, everyone!
Welcome to the third Author's Corner. A short while ago, I came across a science fiction search engine entitled Planet Doom. I found it to be quite interesting and informative. Under the Author category were several prominent names including Terry Brooks, Storm Constantine, Ann Rice and Peter Straub.
I provided the Planet Doom site hosts with information about this site. A day later, I received word from them expressing their approval of the site. They immediately listed this site under my name in the Author/ Official Site category.
I entered my site in a contest for "Coolest Site" and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was chosen the best of their group of contestants. You'll notice the "Cool Site Award" banner on the home page. The banner is also a link for the Planet Doom website. If you have a chance, check it out.
On August 29, I'll be attending Dragon*Con 2002 in Atlanta, Georgia. This looks like a very exciting event, based on science fiction, fantasy and horror themes. The festival is made up of members of the film industry, authors, artists, and musical groups (GWAR, Godhead and Edgar Winter).
I'm hoping to be selected for a few of the discussion panels and perhaps gain some media exposure. The gaming events are another entertaining highlight of the festival. Blood Bowl looks really bizarre. Check it out at www.dragoncon.com. I'll provide stories and pictures in late September when the website is updated.
Recently, I submitted details for the Twisted Fate cover design to Visual Marketing. I'm sure Jennifer is going to create another exciting cover. She certainly did a nice job on Fractured Time.
I'd like to thank Jason Curran and Otherground for their support in maintaining the website. They are a top-notch group.
Those of you, who have had the opportunity to read Fractured Time, please send me your feedback through the Contact link. I'd like to use your opinions for reviews. Media reviews are difficult to get because of the enormous volume of books published every month. Besides, the readers are the best experts.
Just a reminder, I have book signings coming up on July 20 at Waldenbooks, Cherry Hill Mall (5 p.m.) and July 27 at Waldenbooks, Christiana Mall (2-4 p.m.). I hope to see you there. The next update will be late July. Take care until next time.
