Welcome to another edition of Author's Corner. I've just returned form the BayCon Festival in San Jose. It was quite different than I expected. It was quite laid back, but then I should have expected that for the West Coast. It was a pleasant experience, though. One of the most creative things I've seen occurred each night around nine o'clock. Science fiction movies were shown on the full face of the wall each night to simulate a drive in movie. You could watch it from many of the hotel rooms or from the pool area. It was very well done including the audio portion. I attended several interesting panel discussions. It's always interesting to hear from other authors and their experiences. Some of the authors in attendance were Vera Nazarian, Howard Hendrix, Lori White and Greg Bear among others.
The staff at the Double Tree Hotel was phenomenal. I'd like to thank them for their hospitality, especially Will Garcia. You're all a great bunch. Hopefully I'll be back in January for ConFusion.
Now I have to get busy and schedule some signings for the summer. I've gotten behind on a number of things I need to work on. Next month's Author's Corner will have a lot of content to make up for this month's.
