Welcome, everyone, to another edition of Author’s Corner. The release date for the new Space Frontiers series beginning with The Eye of Icarus is drawing closer. For those of you who have already read and enjoyed the Fractured Time Trilogy, I think you’ll really Space Frontiers. It is a bit more risqué with lots of adventure and romance with a little horror and some adult humor to spice things up.

Beginning in July, you’ll see some things appearing on the website (i.e. cover, first chapter). Space Frontiers will be sharing the Fractured Time website so keep watching.

Memorial Day weekend, I’ll be at BaltiCon at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. I’ll have a table in the dealers’ hall where my books will be for sale. I’m also participating in several panel discussions as well. The BaltiCon website is www.BaltiCon.org.

The following week, June 3-5, I will be in Charlotte for ConCarolinas. Again, I’ll be participating on several discussion panels. I won’t have a table there, but I will have books available for sale. I’m looking for a bookseller contact in the dealer room to carry the books. If I don’t find one, I’ll have them with me as I mingle. Don’t be bashful if you see me there. The ConCarolinas website is www.secfi.org/concarolinas/AboutCon.htm.

Over Labor Day weekend, September 2-5, I’m participating in DragonCon. As of now, I have two autograph sessions confirmed. The programming is still under development. I’m also looking for a contact to sell my books in the dealers’ hall as well. Their website is www.dragoncon.org.

I’ll have information on other upcoming festivals next month.

The screenplays and TV episodes fro the Fractured Time Trilogy are now complete. I’ve been looking forward to completing this for quite a while. It was quite difficult writing in two worlds (Fractured Time and Space Frontiers). Now I can focus on the new series completely.

This month’s Writers’ Tip is for the authors out there. Regardless of who publishes your book, the jacket story is a very important part of marketing. The jacket story is one or two paragraphs from the novel that will hook a reader. It helps to identify, while you are writing, what paragraphs will be your jacket story. If you wait for the publisher to select it, you may not have time or the option to change it. In cases where the publisher owns the rights, you may not have a choice. It doesn’t hurt to make a recommendation, though. Join me next month for another edition of Author’s Corner.

Thanks for dropping by.
