Welcome back, everyone, to another edition of Author’s Corner. Recently, my new novel, The Eye of Icarus, was listed on www.onlinereviewofbooks.com as a recommended reading. This is always a good thing to help a reader determine if the book is worth giving a try, especially if they aren’t familiar with the author or the series. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments thus far on The Eye of Icarus and many questions regarding the date of the second book of the series, Dangerous Liaisons, which I’ve already written. That’s a hard question to answer right now as the first novel is still new.

In a few weeks, August 28th to September 1st, I’ll be in Atlanta for DragonCon and the Decatur Book Festival. I also have a book signing at the CNN Center from noon to 2 p.m. in Waldenbooks on Friday, the 29th. I’ll be appearing at the Decatur Book Festival on Saturday, August 30th at Helm Publishing’s booth for a better part of the day. I haven’t gotten a response from DragonCon regarding participating in the convention yet, but I will be attending regardless. You’ll see my ad in the DragonCon program as well. I’ll have books available if they aren’t carried in the dealers room so if you see me, don’t be shy.

In the fall, I’ll be at Archon in St. Louis, MileHiCon in Denver and hopefully PhilCon in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. I had hoped to be at a few other conventions but the outrageous prices of gas and airfare are restricting my travel a bit. In February, I’ll be back in Orlando for MegaCon. I’ve met a lot of good friends down there, particularly the students who came to talk to me about writing books and screenplays a few years ago. Several of them waited outside the convention area for several hours just to ask questions and hear my thoughts on the business.

Recently, I’ve been occupied with revisions to The Eye of Icarus and the Night Creeps screenplays. I received coverage reports on all of my screenplays and received some very helpful pointers. I still have to do revisions to Fractured Time and The Christmas Solution as well.

I haven’t had much of a chance to market the manuscript for the new Night Creeps novel. That’s something I have to make time for soon. If you like twisted, gory horror in a science fiction atmosphere, then Night Creeps is for you. I’ll keep you posted on my progress with this.

Enjoy your summer and remember, if you are looking for an exciting read with lots of surprises, then you need to read The Eye of Icarus. I’m counting on your support.

Thanks for joining me.
