My publisher, Patti Hultstrand, came up with an idea for a series of short stories based on characters in time. Featured in the article is a short I wrote about meeting Edgar Allan Poe in a modern day pub. I invite you to check it out at the following link: A Night With EddyAlso, it looks like I’ll be attending SummerCon in Atlanta in June. I expect to have a table there so I’ll have plenty of time before and after panels to meet and greet all of you at the con. Check in for more information as it becomes available. Happy New Year to one and all!

Hello everyone! Merry Christmas. Happy New Year. Happy holiday season to one and all. Just want to let everyone know I’ve just confirmed with BaltiCon and LunaCon as a program participant. I’ll also have a table in the dealers’ room as well. LunaCon is in Rye, New York, just beyond the north side of the city I believe, on March 18-20th. BaltiCon is in Hunt Valley, Maryland, a short drive from Baltimore’s inner harbor, on Memorial Day weekend. I have a lot of friends there that I haven’t seen in a while. That means you Pete P., Jackie, Tony R. and the rest of the east coast crew.
The December/January issue of Connotations, the bi-monthly Sci-fi/fantasy & convention newszine of the Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society has a short but very nice review of my novel The Eye of Icarus, done by Pam Allan. Pam, if you are reading this, thank you for your kind words. I’ll have to get you the second book in the series when I see you in May. The last paragraph reads “This is a rip-roaring adventure with a touch of humor. We have a master storyteller combining sci-fi and fantasy into a fun read. You’ll love this.”
Now, if I can find a movie producer who can appreciate what can be done with the script for this, we’d be in for one whale of a movie. For those of you who haven’t read The Eye of Icarus, please give it a shot. It won’t disappoint you. Sometimes the characters do more to make a story than the writer can ever hope to write. This is one of those series that you can’t help but enjoy. Join me again soon for more news soon. Have a safe and happy holiday season.

As the year winds down, I’m looking back at where I’ve come from and looking forward to what is in the works. This year featured the release of The Devil’s Playground, the third book in the Space Frontiers series. In the film world, I’ve got some very interesting irons in the fire for Fractured Time, Night Creeps and Princess Pain. I believe Princess Pain has significant potential and I tailored it for a particular actress who is thrilled with it. I’ll reveal her name once I have the okay. Between her contacts and mine, I hope we can bring this to the big screen. A little hint about Princess Pain; if you’ve read the Space Frontiers series, think Marina. The Eye of Icarus could be my best but requires a pretty significant budget which would put this in the blockbuster category. Unfortunately, financing and the economy are putting a damper on blockbusters right now.
On the convention circuit, ComiCon in Philadelphia and Fright Night Film Festival were very successful for me. Fright Night is graduating to FandomFest which will include more literary programming as well as other new surprises. There are so many conventions that I have enjoyed participating in but haven’t been able to return to. For some, it’s the dates, particularly Memorial Day weekend. For others, it’s been financial logistics like flying and ridiculously high fares for that location.
For next year, I’d like to do a few more of the horror fests in addition to the sci-fi conventions. My big project is Galaxy of the Damned, which will wrap up the Space Frontiers series. I haven’t decided what will be next in novels. I’m considering a sequel to Night Creeps; novelizing The Christmas Solution; or novelizing Princess Pain. I’m hoping to spend a little more time in Orlando and Nashville to work on my fan base. I’m also working with Aaron Kessler for an audio version of Night Creeps and with help from Diskmakers, located in New Jersey, I hope to have a finished project next year. If things go well, we’ll be doing audio for the other novels as well.
The new Sun Center Studios is now opening not far from my residence in southeastern Pennsylvania. I’m hoping to establish contacts with some of the major companies that have purchased the five motion picture studios on the site. As soon as additional details become available, I’ll post them for all my friends out there. Thanks again for joining me. Have a safe and happy holiday season.

Hello, everyone and welcome back. I’ve completed the final draft of Princess Pain, my new action/adventure script and have already received inquiries from producers to see it. I’ve had several requests of late for Night Creeps, my horror script as well. I am really anxious to hear back from my friends across the pond in London about my Fractured Time script and possibly the TV series too.
Now that I’ve gotten a handle on Princess P, I’m focusing on setting up a few signings for the holidays. I’ve already confirmed one with Barnes & Noble in Plymouth Meeting, Pa and I hope to have commitments from a few others in the next couple of days.
I should be able to get back into The Galaxy of the Damned in another week or so. I expect that to be the highlight of the Space Frontiers series.
I’m putting to gether plans for an audio version of my Night Creeps novel. I hope to have more on that by Thanksgiving. If things go well, I’d like to package the Fractured Time trilogy as an audio set and Space Frontiers as well. Ah, but one step at a time.
For those of you in the Chattanooga area, I may have something special coming up for Thursday, February 17th at a local pub. More to come on that. Stay in touch as more exciting things unfold before the end of the year.

Looks like I’ll be home in the Philly area until around February barring the unforeseen. Archon in St. Louis was fantastic. The move to the Sheraton Westport Plaza provided many advantages over the former site. Even with space being a little tight, it was a pleasant experience. Thanks to everyone who bought books from me. It was great meeting all of you. I really appreciated flying home with one less piece of luggage. US Air didn’t appreciate it but they make enough without the luggage charge.
In the next five months, I really have to focus on finishing several projects. I have the final novel in the Space Frontiers series – The Galaxy of the Damned. Coincidently, I’ve found the ideal ending for Galaxy while developing a new screenplay project. I also want to focus on marketing the screenplays Fractured Time, Space Frontiers (The Eye of Icarus) and Night Creeps. Things are tough in the film business right now due to financing but sooner or later I’m sure that will change. Join me again for more updates on my projects and appearances. Thanks again everyone for your support.
