Hello, everyone. Yes it’s spring but you’d never know it with the weather. I pan on spending a week on the west coast at Newport Coast later this month (April) and hopefully will get a lot of writing, whale watching, dining, and relaxing done. Well, the last few weeks have really thrown my work schedule into a tizzy. With Night Creeps 2 due out within a few weeks, I fully expected to devote my time to the next obvious project, Queen of Pain. As you know, Q of P is the sequel to Princess Pain which came out last year. Meanwhile, I worked on a new script, entitled Space Truckers, that originally had some mixed feedback because of the time travel element. That seems to scare producers. So, I reworked it into something with a little more action, no time travel, and a struggling romance. What happens when an ex-spouse is your employer? Hmm. So, to make a long story short, I have some very interested people who are currently reviewing the script. Cross your fingers, everyone! I’ve also had some interest in the Fractured Time TV series. Another one that I ask you to cross your fingers. I get a lot of likes but no one wants to pull the trigger on a deal. Sci-fi scares the bejesus out of them. Well, they say patience is a virtue. Going back to the tizzy; I fully intended to make Space Truckers my next novel “after” the Queen of Pain but… Let’s see what happens with my new friends and how far their interest goes. If Space Truckers sells, I’m counting on all of you to help make it a winner.
On a different note, for my local friends in Pa., I’ll be doing a signing at Cupboard Maker Books in Enola, Pa. (near Harrisburg) on May 3rd from 1 to 3. I’ll be joining other authors who, like me, have short stories in the comedic anthology TV Gods from Fortress Publishing. I’m hoping to set something up for a solo signing on May 30th in the afternoon, after my high school visit in Carlisle, with Cupboard Maker Books. I have to see how their schedule is for that day. So, while I debate which project to pursue, Queen of Pain or Space Truckers as my next novel, join me again for more information.
