Things are really hopping so far this year as I have committed to 2 more conventions! Shore Leave SciFi Convention is now in Lancaster PA. on July 13-15 at the Wyndham Convention Center with a dynamite lineup including cast members from Starship Troopers! I will be joining their programming and will have a table in the dealers room as well.

A new and exciting addition – Monstermania! I will be joining them on November 21-23 in Oaks, PA at the Greater Philadelphia Convention Center. Their reputation in the horror field is outstanding. Check their site to see their lineup of celebrities as it grows.

I may be adding several book fairs in the near future so keep checking for more appearances. I’m limiting my travel to the Pennsylvania area (including surrounding states) due to ongoing negotiations for my screenplays. More to come when I can reveal details. Happy holidays to everyone and a great new year to you all. I expect 2025 to be very exciting for a lot of reasons. 2024 featured the release of Space Truckers 2 and Reign of Pain. I hope to have the third novel in the Space Truckers series completed as well as a new screenplay based on the second half of the Space Truckers 2 novel. The first books in each of my series (5) have made the NYTimes best seller list and are featured in the NYTimes Book Review magazine for quarter 2 (2024) and quarter 3 (2023).

First, I will be doing many more appearances this year. Last year, I had several projects to occupy my time and give me a fresh perspective on my writing. February 7-9, I will be participating at Farpoint in Pikesville, MD. I will also have a table in the dealers room for book sales and general conversation.

I’ve been invited to Delco Horror Haven’s 2nd annual Ghoulastic Book Fair in Media, PA at the Community Center on March 22. This a great opportunity to meet local authors of fiction and nonfiction in a relaxed and entertaining atmosphere. More to come in this as we get closer.

May 16-18th I will be returning to the Philadelphia Convention Center for Fan Expo. This is a big and exciting convention featuring celebrities, artists and authors. It is well run and a great event to bring the whole family to.

June 13-15 I will be making my way to Altoona, PA for SciFiValleyCon. This is another great convention for the family. I have participated in this a few times in the past and really enjoyed myself.

I am currently working on details and logistics for several others including Shore Leave (Lancaster). I expect to be adding many more events for the second half of the year in other parts of the country. More to come. There are a number of things in the works regarding the screenplays, particularly Night Creeps and Night Creeps 2. Join me again soon for the latest in my projects and appearances. Hello, everyone and welcome back. With summer winding down and the Labor Day weekend fast approaching, here is a quick update on things. I took a break from writing for most of the summer to get involved with other activities. A break often helps stimulate new creativity and prevents a writer from burning out.

I have accepted an invitation to appear at Farpoint SciFi convention on February 7th to the 9th in Pikesville, Maryland at the DoubleTree Hotel. Pikesville is a short distance from the old location in Hunt Valley for those unfamiliar with the area.

I also received invitations to appear at Albacon (Albany, NY) and PhilCon (Cherry Hill, NJ). Unfortunately, I can’t make the Albacon dates and had to decline. I am still undecided on PhilCon as I may have other commitments. I do expect to have more appearances though, so keep checking for new additions.

Currently, I am working on the Night Creeps 2 screenplay, an unexpected task that popped up. I have the first draft from previously and it has become a priority. I have been sketching out the premise for a Space Truckers 3 novel while also developing the plots for another Space Truckers screenplay, based on the second half of the Space Truckers 2 novel. It’s become a bit of a juggling act.

Hardbacks for my novels should be available now in addition to the softbacks and audiobooks. With the Ingram’s problem resolved, my books should be available again both nationally and internationally. Still no update on the potential screenplay sales. Things move slow in that business, especially after a quick start and significant interest. I guess time will tell.

Welcome back, everyone. Lots going on since last post. The Ingram’s issue has been resolved and my books will finally be shipped to the distributor!
Reign of Pain, the third and final book in the Pain series, was released recently and the audio book is currently being recorded. Three chapters are already completed. The screenplay Reign of Pain, adapted from the novel is complete and submitted to my agent.
From recent discussions, I believe we may be close to not just one but multiple movie deals. I am wary because words often don’t translate into contracts in this business. It is, however, encouraging to know that the screenplays have made it past the development level and are at the level where the interested production companies are talking numbers with the potential buyers in the streaming industry. It sounds like I should have answers soon.
I am taking a break from writing right now because I’m working with marketing groups for an upcoming campaign, which hinges on the current book deal and potential movie deals.
I can tell you that my next project is the screenplay Space Truckers 3 which will be adapted from the second half of the Space Truckers 2 novel.

Welcome back, everyone! Lots going on – and not going on. My fourteenth novel and third in the Pain Series, Reign of Pain, is in the publishing process through Quantum Discovery. They’ve come up with another fascinating cover, exploiting the traits of our lead character Marina. The audiobook format will be created as soon as the final version of the book is approved.
Everything was going well with several distributors ready to place orders for my books. This is significant as I now have five books that made the NY Times Review magazine. While my novels haven’t made the top ten, they are among the best sellers, both nationally and internationally. A great start that has suddenly hit a wall.
Ingram’s, the printer/distributor for most books, has suffered an internal issue in their system and has halted printing for a while now. Needless to say, I don’t get paid until the orders are complete and that isn’t happening until Ingram’s straightens out their problem. This has posed a bigger problem for me as I need to renew the insurances on the books and the capital for that comes from my book revenue. Let’s hope for a fix soon.
Now, switch over to the movie world. I have just completed the screenplay for The Christmas Solution 2. I’m waiting for feedback from the Film Department at Quantum Discovery before they submit it to producers. There is significant interest in several of my scripts and I hope to have news on that soon.
In particular are two entities that are focused on both Christmas screenplays and both horror screenplays (Night Creeps). I expect to hear something back from them soon.
Next on my list of projects are the screenplays for Space Truckers 3 (based on part 2 of the novel Space Truckers 2) and Reign of Pain. Phew! After that, I’ll decide if I want to continue the Space Truckers series or start something new. Too soon to tell. I’ve been holding off on appearances at conventions because of my workload. I will likely start some local appearances before scheduling conventions again. Join me again soon for more details on my projects and appearances.
